Zuum Energy Gum makes a splash at the 2023 Portsea Swim Classic

The 2023 Portsea Swim Classic showcased some of Victoria’s best swimmers and scenery as over 2000 competitors made the scenic 1,500 metre dash from the Portsea Pier to Quarantine Beach.

With warm waters and calm seas, the conditions were perfect for those in the ocean and on land to soak in what is one of the best events on the Mornington Peninsula calendar.

Amongst the festive atmosphere, the Zuum crew was on hand to ensure competitors and spectators alike were energised by handing out over 1000 packs to promote Zuum Energy Gum’s official January launch on front counters of Chemist Warehouse.

Zuum is the perfect solution for swimmers who need a quick boost of energy pre-race and was a major hit amongst many of this year’s competitors.

“I chewed two pieces about 15 mins before the start and felt the buzz almost instantly. Defs going to keep a packet in my swim bag from now on” responded 7th place getter Andrew Args.

Zuum’s unique formula contains 40mg of caffeine, guarana, and B-vitamins to increase mental focus and physical performance without the need for liquids or gels, making it ideal for swimmers of all levels.

“To be honest I was lucky to finish this year. I’ve barely trained and rolled in off a big night at HS (Hotel Sorrento) but I reckon the Zuum might’ve gotten me over the line” replied 130th place finisher Tom Robertson.

Zuum’s presence at the Portsea Swim Classic marks the first of many involvements at grassroots sporting events across the country. Keep your eyes open over the coming months for the Zuum crew at an event near you!
